My art practice uses performance art collectively with short-line poetry, sculpture, folkloric fashion retrofits, experimental sounds, personal rituals, video media, and photography. These mediums intertwine collaboratively, each becoming a form of its own.
Photography, primarily analog, is overtly used in my work as it is a medium where I can contextualize traits, facts, and anecdotes afterward. I am the opposite; I prefer describing a picture with a thousand words. So when looking back, I can recall truths of events or even write new ones for the effect of being present in time.
Momentarily, I am still mourning but also figuring out how to slow down time. How can I tell my entire story with one image, and do I have to. I am being abundantly clear that only one frame would be telling the whole story all at once. Believing everything is definitive but analogous.
