El Mesero/ W9Waiter.

El Mesero/W9Waiter, is a performance-based work about prejudice actions and behaviors witnessed in corporate-and-border America- towards Latinos.

This piece brings awareness from an individual experiences that have happened in real life:—mostly in entry level jobs and at the American border.

The work is literal in terms of actions, but metaphorical when it comes to solutions. And during the last few years it has become a co-creation performance project in collaboration with local artists in the city of Oaxaca de Juarez, in Oaxaca, México.

El Mesero/W9Waiter has received funding support in 2022 and in 2024 by the Canada Council for the Arts through their grant program titled: artist abroad; residencies.
